
Starke, FL (January 11, 2025) – A member of the Florida National Guard lost his life after he was struck by a vehicle on base at Camp Blanding on Friday morning, January 10. The Florida Highway Patrol reports that the 38-year-old man was headed east on Avenue B when he was struck by a Jeep headed in the same direction.
Reports show the incident occurred at approximately 7:00 a.m. Friday. Paramedics found the man on the right shoulder of the road, where he was pronounced deceased. Police continue to investigate the exact circumstances of the incident.
