Seminole Co., FL (January 23, 2025) – At approximately 9:20 p.m., on January 22, a traffic accident took the life of one person in Seminole County. Reports from local sources show the wreck occurred on Red Bug Lake Road near State Road 417. A 74-year-old Winter Springs man lost his life in the crash. An accident report revealed that a 2015 Acura MDX was attempting to turn left onto Red Bug Lake Road from the SR-417 exit ramp. At the same time, a Chevy Equinox collided with his vehicle. The Chevy had run a red light traveling west on Red Bug Lake Road, according to witness reports. At this time, the deceased victim has not been identified. The other driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Police in Seminole County continue to investigate.
