Florida Car Crashes
Auto accidents happen in Florida frequently, with thousands reported per day. These wrecks often end in injuries and fatalities, with more than 4,000 people killed per year. Unfortunately, the cause of the majority of these wrecks is driver negligence. According to the NHTSA, driver negligence is behind over 70% of the national accident fatality rate.
Some common forms of driver negligence seen in the United States today include intoxication, speeding, distraction, and fatigue. In one recent year, more than 1,500 people were hurt in car crashes caused by fatigued drivers in the US. Additionally, distraction causes more than 400,000 annual auto accidents, while over 12,000 people lose their lives per year in collisions caused by intoxicated drivers.
