Florida Traffic Collisions
Every year, more than 400,000 car accidents occur in Florida, injuring over 150,000 people and claiming more than 3,000 lives. The leading cause of these accidents is driver distraction, a problem that is also the top cause of crashes across the nation. Driver negligence—whether it’s speeding, driving under the influence, distracted driving, or fatigue—accounts for most auto accidents in the United States.
Nationally, there are over 6 million car crashes reported each year, resulting in injuries to more than 3 million people and causing tens of thousands of deaths. Drivers who focus on their phones, passengers, music, or anything other than the road create dangerous situations for themselves and others.
Texting while driving has become a serious concern over the past decade. Millions of drivers browse social media or send text messages while operating vehicles, an incredibly risky behavior. Anyone who chooses to text and drive puts their life—and the lives of those around them—at great risk. When such recklessness leads to an accident, they must be held accountable.
If you or a loved one has been injured in a crash caused by driver negligence, the impact can be overwhelming.
