St Petersburg, FL (September 28, 2024) – A traffic accident happened in St Petersburg on Saturday, September 28. One person lost their life when three vehicles collided on 34th Street North. Reports show a box truck, a pickup truck, and a car collided at around 3:00 a.m. A Toyota Camry reportedly fled a traffic stop on US Highway 19, striking a semi-truck that was turning onto 34th Street North. The Camry’s driver swerved in the northbound lanes to avoid the semi before colliding with a box truck and a pickup truck that was stopped at a traffic stop.
One of the passengers in the Camry was seriously hurt and later died at a nearby hospital. All other people involved in the accident suffered injuries deemed non-life-threatening. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
