
St Johns County, FL (October 16, 2024) – A man from Elkton, age 61, lost his life in a traffic accident on State Road 207 in St Johns County. Reports show the incident occurred on Wednesday, October 16, at around 7:30 a.m. The Florida Highway Patrol reports that the man was headed north on SR-207 in the left lane, just south of Cypress Links Boulevard. Simultaneously, a pickup truck was in the right turn lane of Cypress Links Boulevard when the man, who was operating an SUV, collided with the left side of the pickup truck. The SUV then continued heading north on the east shoulder of SR-207 before stopping facing northeast, police said. The driver of the SUV lost his life. The other involved driver suffered injuries due to the crash. Police in St Johns County continue to investigate.
