Port St Lucie, FL (October 9, 2024) – An ambulance was involved in a collision while responding to the scene of another crash on Monday morning, October 7.
The incident took place on the St Lucie West Bridge near the southbound Interstate 95 exit. Two individuals, including the paramedic and the ambulance driver, were transported to an area hospital with injuries. Three other patients were also transported to the hospital in connection with the crash. Police say none of those patients were inside the ambulance at the time of the incident. Authorities in Port St Lucie continue to investigate.
