
Palm Beach Co., FL (February 9, 2025) – Information provided by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division shows a fatal traffic accident occurred on US 27 South on February 5. Responders were dispatched to the scene shortly after 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday in order to render aid and investigate.
The incident occurred when 29-year-old Carolina Trujillo-Villa, of Miramar, was traveling in a 2024 Lexus NX250 headed north on US-27 when she stopped in the median. Just then, a 2021 GMC Sierra towing an empty trailer was approaching in the left southbound lane. The woman attempted to make a left turn when she entered the path of the truck. The front of the truck collided with the passenger side of the Lexus, causing both vehicles to leave the roadway and come to rest on the shoulder. Trujillo-Villa was pronounced deceased at the scene due to the nature of her injuries. Police continue to investigate the details of the accident.
