Palm Bay, FL (October 2, 2024) – The Florida Highway Patrol reports that two men lost their lives in a two-car wreck on State Route 514, also known as Malabar Road. The wreck happened in the early morning hours of October 2. At approximately 2:28 a.m., on Wednesday, a GMC Sierra and a Jeep Wrangler were both headed east on the roadway approaching Marie Street when the Sierra rear-ended the Jeep. The crash forced the Jeep to leave the roadway, turn over, and land on its roof. A 42-year-old passenger inside the Jeep was ejected from the vehicle. Both the driver and passenger of the Jeep were pronounced deceased at the crash scene. They were identified as two men from Melbourne and Malabar. The driver of the Sierra sustained no injuries. Police in Palm Bay continue to investigate.
