
Orlando, FL (February 19, 2025) – A 55-year-old man from Orlando lost his life after a fatal collision in Orange County on Monday morning, February 17. The Florida Highway Patrol reports the man was driving a 2012 Mazda 3 when he was stopped at a traffic light facing south on Orange Blossom Trail.
Another man, a 56-year-old Texas resident was operating a 2025 Volkswagen Atlas headed south on OBT approaching Hunter’s Creek Boulevard in the center lane at approximately 12:17 a.m. The Texas man allegedly failed to observe the sedan stopped ahead and rear-ended the Orlando man.
Both drivers were taken to Osceola Regional Medical Center, according to reports. The Texas man was transported with serious injuries while the man from Orlando later lost his life. At this time, their names have not been reported. Police in Orlando continue to investigate.
