The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) states the crash occurred at approximately 11:21 p.m. on Friday at the intersection of Hiawassee Road and Nestor Street. According to information provided by officials, a 2022 Toyota Rav-4 was headed south in the left turn lane on Hiawassee Road just north of Nestor Street. At the same time, a 2024 Buick Enclave was headed north on Hiawassee Road in the outside lane, south of Nestor Street. The driver of the Buick was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police in Orange County continue to investigate.

Florida Traffic Collisions
More traffic accidents are reported in Florida than in most other states. Every year, more than 400,000 auto accidents happen in the Sunshine State. These collisions often end in serious injuries that require hospitalization for over 150,000 individuals each year. Sadly, more than 3,000 people lose their lives annually due to Florida traffic accidents.
It can be extremely overwhelming to suffer serious injuries in a car accident. If you were recently injured in a crash, you may find yourself stuck in the hospital for days, weeks, or longer where you must undergo invasive and expensive medical care. Your injuries may keep you from working or living your life the way you once did before your accident. If you believe the negligence of another driver caused your accident, working with a car crash attorney could be extremely helpful to you and your family after your accident.
A car accident lawyer can help you file a personal injury claim for financial compensation.
