Florida Car Accidents
Car crashes are a significant issue in the US and throughout the Sunshine State, happening more than 6 million times per year. In Florida specifically, over 400,000 annual auto accidents occur, placing it among the top three states in the nation with the most yearly car wrecks. Each year, more than 3 million people are hurt in car accidents in the United States while approximately 40,000 end up losing their lives. Unfortunately, the majority of these crashes are caused by negligent driving.
Florida is one of the most dangerous states in the US when it comes to car crashes. This may be due to its high population and high tourist rate, as well as the nice weather year-round. More than 250,000 individuals suffer injuries in the Sunshine State every year while over 3,000 end up losing their lives. Crash victims often suffer serious injuries including broken bones, back/neck injuries, or brain injuries. Injuries of this nature can land you in the hospital where you have to undergo invasive and expensive medical care to recover.
Additionally, you may be unable to immediately return to work when you’re hurt in a serious car accident. This can be very stressful for you and your loved ones, especially if you are the sole provider for your family. You may also be facing steep medical bills and vehicle repair or replacement costs, which can just add to the stress you may be feeling.
If you or a loved one of yours has recently suffered injuries in an auto accident, you must understand your legal rights. You can collect financial compensation for the injuries and losses imposed upon you. Medical bills, wage loss, pain and suffering, and other damages that may have resulted from your wreck are eligible for financial compensation in the aftermath of an accident caused by negligence.
