Miami-Dade Co., FL (September 23, 2024) – Four people sustained injuries, including two toddlers who were thrown from a vehicle on Monday morning, September 23. Reports from police show the incident happened on Krome Avenue in Southwest Miami-dade when a Mercedes Benz SUV was headed east on Southwest 256th Street and failed to yield to a vehicle in the area. The SUV then drove into the path of a Toyota sedan headed south on Krome Avenue.
Two toddlers inside the Toyota were ejected from the vehicle due to the crash. They were airlifted to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital in critical condition. Both drivers were also transported to an area hospital in serious condition. Police continue to investigate the incident.
