
Lakeland, FL (March 27, 2025) – An 80-year-old woman lost her life in a traffic accident in Lakeland on Tuesday, March 25. Responders were sent to the scene on South Florida Avenue north of Shepherd Road at approximately 4:00 p.m. Polices ay the woman, a Mulberry resident, was headed south on Florida Avenue in a 1997 Toyota Corolla when she was involved in a collision with the side of a 2014 Toyota attempting to turn left across the southbound lanes of the roadway. Multiple responders were observed working at the crash scene shortly after the wreck occurred to help those involved. At this time, the name of the victim has not been reported. Police in Lakeland continue to investigate.
