Florida Traffic Accidents
Each year, Florida experiences over 400,000 auto accidents, leading to approximately 150,000 injuries and nearly 3,000 fatalities. The majority of these crashes are caused by driver negligence, including behaviors such as speeding, distracted driving, and driving under the influence.
Nationally, more than 6 million traffic accidents occur annually, resulting in around 3 million injuries. Tragically, tens of thousands of individuals lose their lives in these accidents every year. Distractions like texting, talking on the phone, conversing with passengers, and adjusting in-car systems significantly contribute to the frequency of auto accidents.
Texting and driving have become a growing problem over the past decade, with millions of drivers choosing to use their phones while operating a vehicle. This dangerous behavior puts everyone on the road at risk, and those responsible for accidents due to texting should be held accountable for their actions.
