Florida Motorcycle Crashes
According to information provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there were over 6,000 motorcycle accident fatalities reported in the US in 2022. In Florida alone, over 600 motorcyclists lost their lives that same year. Motorcycle riders are particularly at risk of sustaining serious injuries or even losing their lives when they become involved in auto accidents. Unfortunately, the main cause of motorcycle crashes is drivers who fail to yield the right of way to motorcyclists. Most often, these drivers do not see motorcyclists because they are distracted. Distracted driving is the main cause of the majority of auto accidents in the United States, causing over 400,000 traffic collisions per year.
Statistical information regarding motorcycle accidents in Florida revealed that 97% of motorcycle accidents occur in clear weather conditions. This points to the fact that motorcycles are dangerous to drive, no matter what the weather is like.
