Hillsborough Co., FL (November 29, 2024) – A 1-year-old girl lost her life early Friday, November 29, after a two-car accident in Hillsborough County. The fatal crash occurred on Interstate 4 at approximately 12:45 a.m. The Florida Highway Patrol reports that a woman from Dundee, age 30, was operating a Toyota RAV4 with a female passenger, age 34, from Orlando, a 6-year-old girl, a 3-year-old boy and a 1-year-old girl. A Jeep Cherokee operated by a woman from Englewood, age 21, was behind the Toyota when she collided with the rear of the vehicle while she was trying to pass. Police say both drivers suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to local hospitals. All three kids were taken to a hospital where the 1-year-old lost her life. The other children suffered injuries deemed non-life-threatening. Sources said the woman from Orlando sustained no injuries. Police in Hillsborough County continue to investigate.
