Hialeah, FL (March 18, 2025) – A South Florida Highway was closed due to a serious auto accident on March 16 in Hialeah. The incident occurred along Interstate 75 near Northwest 186th Street when two vehicles collided for unknown reasons.
According to information provided by the Florida Highway Patrol, a beige Mitsubishi SUV and a black Lexus sedan were both headed south on the interstate, near State Road 860, when the crash occurred. Due to the collision, the Mitsubishi left the highway and flipped over before going over the center median wall and coming to a stop on the northern grassy median. Police say the driver of the Mitsubishi was airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center with serious injuries. The highway was closed while responders worked in the area, creating traffic delays. Police in Hialeah continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
We hope for the full recovery of the injured victims.
Florida Car Accidents
Florida is listed as one of the top three states in the US with the most auto accidents reported per year. Annually, the Sunshine State sees approximately 400,000 auto accidents. Hundreds of thousands of people are hurt in these collisions while thousands more end up losing their lives. Florida is one of the most dangerous and deadly places when it comes to car crashes, taking the lives of over 3,000 people per year.
Unfortunately, driver negligence is the main cause of most Florida car crashes. At this time, driver distraction, speeding, and intoxication are the most common reasons auto collisions take place in the state. In one recent year, over 30% of auto accident fatalities in the state were caused by speeding.
When you or a loved one are injured in an auto accident, it is vital to be able to determine the cause of the crash. If you believe a negligent driver caused your collision, you should be able to seek justice and financial compensation for your injuries and losses. You should not have to worry about paying for medical bills, vehicle repairs, lost wages, or any other expenses related to your collision.
