
Hernando Co., FL (October 21, 2024) – A 4-year-old girl lost her life in a traffic accident in Hernando County on Saturday, October 19. At approximately 10:00 p.m., the incident occurred on State Road 589. A 47-year-old woman from Lee, Florida, was headed south on SR-589 when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a concrete culvert before overturning.
The four-year-old girl was taken to an area hospital where she later lost her life. The female driver and a 7-year-old girl sustained serious injuries and were also taken to the hospital for treatment. Police in Hernando County continue to investigate the details of the accident.
