Florida Auto Collisions

When you sustain serious injuries in a car crash, you may have to deal with a lot of problems in the aftermath of your accident. Not only may you be dealing with painful injuries that limit your ability to live your life, but you may also be wondering how you’ll pay for those injuries and the treatment you need to recover. Oftentimes, hospitalization related to serious injuries suffered in auto accidents, like broken bones, spinal cord injuries, back injuries, head injuries, and other serious injuries, can cost tens of thousands of dollars. It can be difficult to come up with this kind of money to pay for being hurt in an auto crash.

The number of car wrecks that happen in the United States and throughout the state of Florida continues to rise every year. On average, there are around 6 million vehicle crashes reported annually in the country. About 450,000 of those happen in the state of Florida. Florida is among the top three states in the nation with the most reported auto accidents per year. California and Texas are the other two listed with more auto accidents than any other state.

Every day, over 1,000 car wrecks are reported in the Sunshine State. Almost half of these will cause injuries to at least one person. Each year, about 170,000 auto crashes result in injuries in Florida. These wrecks happen for a multitude of different reasons, including:

  • Speeding
  • Failing to yield to traffic lights
  • Drunk driving
  • High driving
  • Texting & driving
  • Bad weather
  • Falling asleep at the wheel
  • Animals

The majority of auto accidents in Florida are caused by the negligent actions of drivers. Whether a driver is drunk, high, over-tired, speeding, or distracted, driver negligence causes more car wrecks throughout the country than bad weather and vehicle malfunctions combined. When negligent drivers cause accidents that end in injuries, those victimized often suffer a great deal.

If you or a beloved member of your family have suffered injuries due to driver negligence, you deserve to be compensated for the losses and damages you’ve endured related to your crash. You may be facing great financial difficulties in relation to your accident and the bills that stem from it. You may be forced to pay outstanding medical bills and vehicle repair costs while you lose wages due to being stuck in the hospital recovering. This can be very stressful and overwhelming.

Working alongside a Hamilton County car crash lawyer can help you get the money you need to pay for these costs and more. You are eligible for financial compensation when you or someone you love has been wrongfully injured due to the actions of a negligent driver, and, those injuries have seriously negatively impacted your life.
