Gulf Co., FL (November 13, 2024) – A 64-year-old from Port St. Joe lost their life after a pedestrian crash in Gulf County. On Tuesday evening, November 12, the incident happened at around 6:10 p.m. when an 83-year-old driver was headed east on US Highway 98. The driver failed to stop at a pedestrian crossing near Nutmeg Street and struck a pedestrian attempting to cross. The pedestrian was ejected over the vehicle and into the south shoulder of the highway.
At this time, the victim has not been identified. Police in Gulf County continue to investigate the details of the accident.
