Cross City, FL (December 8, 2024) – One woman lost her life following a car accident in Cross City on Saturday afternoon, December 7. The Florida Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred on US-319 when a woman was rear-ended. Her vehicle was pushed into the right shoulder, and it overturned, police said.
The woman was ejected from her vehicle as it rolled over. Paramedics transported her to UF Shands in Gainesville, where she was pronounced deceased. The other driver was identified as a 27-year-old woman from Cross City who did not sustain any injuries. Police in Cross City continue to investigate the circumstances leading to the wreck.
