Florida Auto Accidents
Hundreds of thousands of auto collisions are reported in the state of Florida every year. These accidents cause injuries to more than 160,000 people per year and take the lives of over 3,000 annually. The leading cause of car wrecks in Florida is currently driver distraction. Driver distraction causes approximately 400,000 car crashes per year in the United States.
Driver negligence is punishable by steep fines and even jail time in the US. Those victimized by negligent drivers are usually eligible for financial compensation for their injuries. It is important to determine who or what caused your accident if you believe that you were injured by the actions of a negligent driver.
When a car accident happens because of driver negligence, it is usually more severe than an accident caused for a different reason. Those injured in auto accidents caused by driver negligence usually suffer injuries so severe that they end up in the hospital for days, weeks, or longer.
Sustaining a severe injury in a car crash can be a devastating experience. If you or someone you love were hurt by a negligent driver, you may be able to collect financial compensation for your injuries and losses. An attorney can help you file a personal injury claim so you can get the money you need to pay for medical care, lost wages, and vehicle repairs, as well as other costs related to your collision.
