Carraway, FL (February 27, 2025) – Two adults lost their lives and a child suffered serious injuries in a car accident in Carraway on Tuesday morning, February 25. At approximately 7:00 a.m., the wreck occurred on State Route 100 near Roberts Lane when three vehicles were involved in a crash.
One vehicle was headed east on SR 100 just east of Roberts Lane while the second vehicle was headed west on SR 100. The third vehicle was headed west behind the second vehicle, according to reports. The driver of the first vehicle exited the eastbound lane and entered the westbound lane where it sideswiped the second vehicle.
The front of the first sedan then struck the front of the third vehicle before coming to a stop where it obstructed traffic in the eastbound lane of SR 100 while facing northeast. The second vehicle stopped in the grass of the north shoulder facing southeast while the third vehicle also stopped on the grass of the north shoulder facing northwest.
The driver of the second vehicle, a man from Palatka, suffered minor injuries. Two individuals inside one of the vehicles, identified as a 12-year-old boy and a woman from Palatka, suffered injuries in the accident. A 34-year-old man from Live Oak and a 38-year-old woman from Palatka lost their lives in the accident. Police in Carraway continue to investigate the details of the collision.
