Bradenton, FL (December 16, 2024) – The Florida Highway Patrol was called to the scene of a fatal traffic accident in Bradenton on December 15. Just before 8:00 p.m., the wreck occurred on State Road 70 near Betts Road. A release concerning the crash stated an SUV driver was traveling west on SR-70 while a pickup truck was heading east. The circumstances are still being investigated; the front of the SUV struck the pickup truck on the east side. The driver of the pickup truck and a passenger inside the SUV both lost their lives at the scene. The driver of the SUV suffered serious injuries in the accident and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Another passenger suffered minor injuries. Police in Bradenton continue to investigate.
