Florida Auto Accidents
Traffic accidents can occur at any time, under any circumstances. When it comes to severe auto accidents, Florida is one of the most dangerous states in the nation. Traffic accidents take place over 1,000 times per day in the Sunshine State and cause injuries to hundreds of thousands of people per year. On average, over 3,000 people lose their lives per year in Florida car accidents.
The victims who suffer injuries in traffic accidents often have their lives uprooted. Due to damages that usually result from serious car wrecks, like costly vehicle repairs, outstanding medical bills, wage loss, and more, even minor auto accidents can substantially affect the lives of victims. In terms of the costs related to car wrecks and the stress they bring about, they can quickly become overwhelming. If you don’t have legal representation, you run the risk of facing the situation on your own and missing out on financial compensation.
Semi-truck accidents are almost always worse than regular car accidents due to the sheer size and weight of large tractor-trailers. The average semi-truck is approximately 20 to 30 times that of the average passenger vehicle. Those who become involved in crashes with semi-trucks often suffer severe or even fatal injuries.
Auto accidents in the US and throughout the state of Florida are almost always caused by driver negligence. Negligent drivers engage in many dangerous behaviors, such as distraction, fatigue, intoxication and speeding. Approximately 90-99% of American vehicle crashes are the result of negligent driving, according to information from the NHTSA.
You are entitled to financial compensation for your pain and suffering if you were wounded in an automobile accident anywhere in the state of Florida as a result of the carelessness of another driver. There is a significant chance that your injuries will cost you a fortune in medical bills. Your initial medical care could cost tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of dollars.
