Summerfield, FL (October 19, 2024) – An elderly pedestrian lost their life in a traffic accident in Summerfield. Information from local sources shows the incident occurred when the pedestrian, identified as a 74-year-old Sebring man, was trying to cross US 441 near Southeast 172nd Street. They were struck by a southbound Kia Forte operated by a woman from Ocala, age 44. The woman stopped and called 911 and remained at the scene. The Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating the accident.
