St Petersburg, FL (September 18, 2024) – A driver and a motorcyclist lost both lost their lives, and a passenger was injured after a late-night collision in St Pete.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports that just before 11:00 p.m., on Tuesday, September 17, the wreck occurred on 46th Avenue North near the intersection with Park Street North. Reports show that a woman from St Pete, age 24, was headed west on 46th when she stopped at a stop sign at the intersection with Park Street. Simultaneously, a man from Mary Esther, age 49, was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle headed north on Park Street. Police say the woman traveled through the intersection without yielding to the motorcyclist, causing the bike and the car to crash. Both drivers lost their lives at the scene. A 23-year-old man, who was riding in the woman’s vehicle at the time, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Police in St Petersburg continue to investigate.
