Florida Truck Accidents
Thousands of individuals suffer injuries in Floirda car accidents per day. Though the majority of reported collisions in the Sunshine State are fender-benders, a percentage of them do cause injuries and even fatalities. Those injured in auto accidents often end up in the hospital, unable to return to work or live their life the way they once did. This can be an overwhelming experience for anyone who may find themselves injured in an accident.
When 18-wheelers become involved in traffic accidents, they often cause severe damage. Large 18-wheeler trucks can weigh up to 80,000 pounds. This is roughly 20 to 30 times heavier than the average passenger vehicle. Even at lower speeds, a tractor-trailer collision can end in severe or even fatal injuries. Information provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Association shows that over 4,000 people lost their lives in commercial truck accidents in the US in 2022.
