Santa Rosa Co., FL (October 21, 2024) – A two-car crash happened on US 98 near Reserve Boulevard. One person lost their life in the collision that happened just before 1:00 p.m. on October 20. Police say a Nissan SUV was stopped facing south at the intersection on Reserve Boulevard when a Ford F-250 approached the intersection heading west on US 98. Police say the vehicles collided for reasons still being investigated.
The driver of the Nissan was taken by helicopter to Sacred Heart Hospital where they later lost their life due to the extent of their injuries. Deputies also reported that the Ford was occupied by two children and a 28-year-old male. All three were transported to Sacred Heart by ambulance with injuries deemed minor.
