Port St Lucie, FL (October 24, 2024) – Police in Port St Lucie are currently investigating the details of a collision that happened on Thursday. Sources say the wreck occurred at around 7:35 p.m. when a low-speed vehicle and a car collided on Town Park Avenue. Multiple responders were observed helping the involved parties near Southwest Traditional Parkway. Sources say the low-speed vehicle attempted to merge ahead of the car when the two collided. The driver was then ejected from the low-speed vehicle, causing him to hit his head on the street. The man was air-lifted to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital, where he was treated for serious head injuries. The entrance to Town Park was closed while emergency responders worked in the area. Police in Port St Lucie continue to investigate the details of the accident.
