Polk County, FL (September 27, 2024) – A fatal traffic accident happened in Polk County on the morning of September 25. Preliminary reports from police show the collision occurred on Lake Hatchineha Road when a 2021 Cadillac Escalade operated by Douglas Fairel, Jr of Haines City, crossed over the center line and collided head-on with a 2009 Toyota Camry. The Camry was operated by Yvon Dorelien, 63. Dorelien was traveling with Agnes Dorelien at the time.
Agnes suffered serious injuries in the collision and was transported by ambulance to an area hospital. She succumbed to her injuries shortly after arriving. Police in Polk County continue to investigate the incident.
