Palm Harbor, FL (March 1, 2025) – A wrong-way crash in Palm Harbor resulted in one fatality and two injuries on Friday evening, February 28. Information provided by local authorities shows a Toyota Tundra was headed south in the northbound lanes on Belcher Road at approximately 8:40 p.m. near the intersection with Beecher Drive East.
The vehicle was involved in a head-on crash with a northbound Cadillac DTS before striking a Mazda Protege 5. All three vehicles came to uncontrolled stops in the travel lanes of Belcher Road. Emergency responders transported all three drivers to local medical centers with injuries. The driver of the Tacoma, a man from Tarpon Springs, age 68, later lost his life due to the extent of his injuries. The current health conditions of the other two motorists have not been reported at this time. Police in Palm Harbor continue to investigate the details of the collision.
