Florida Traffic Collisions
The state of Florida sees more than 400,000 reported auto accidents per year. Over 150,000 people are injured in these accidents while thousands more end up losing their lives. Some of the most common causes of Florida car accidents include speeding, intoxication, distraction, and fatigue.
Across the nation, over 6 million car wrecks occur yearly that injure approximately 3 million individuals. Sadly, tens of thousands of people are killed in American auto accidents every year. Distractions like texting and driving, talking on the phone, talking to other people in the vehicle, or changing the radio station can significantly contribute to causing auto accidents.
In the last ten years, texting and driving has become a major concern, with millions of people choosing to look at their phones instead of the roadway causing injurious or even fatal accidents. These dangerous behaviors risk the lives of countless individuals, and those who cause these types of crashes need to be held accountable.
