Orlando, FL (October 1, 2024) – A 25-year-old woman lost her life in a traffic accident in Orlando on Tuesday morning, October 1.
At approximately 12:20 a.m., the incident occurred on Interstate 40 near mile marker 72. Sources say the incident occurred when a pickup truck and a Hyundai Elantra were involved in a collision. The woman, a resident of Kissimmee, was headed west in her Hyundai on I-4 from Sand Lake Road through a construction zone when she approached an unoccupied pickup truck facing south on the interstate. The front of her vehicle hit the back left of the truck, forcing the Elantra to rotate and crash into the left side of the truck, police said. The woman was partially ejected from her vehicle, according to reports. She was pronounced deceased on-site by responding medical professionals. Police in Orlando continue to investigate the incident.
