Orange Co., FL (March 16, 2025) – Four people were seriously injured in a fiery collision on Saturday morning, March 15, in the Winter Garden area of Orange County. Reports from authorities show the collision occurred on State Route 429 just before 9:00 a.m.
Four separate vehicles were involved in the collision, including a 2007 Chevrolet Impala, a 2021 Nissan van pulling a trailer, and two semi-trucks. The crash happened when the Chevrolet was headed south at mile marker 20 in the inside lane while the Nissan was headed south in the inside center lane in the same area. Meanwhile, one of the tractor-trailers was headed south on SR-429 near mile marker 20 in the outside lane. Police say the Chevrolet failed to maintain its lane and entered the inside center lane into the Nissan’s path. The Chevrolet then collided with the Nissan, which caused it to enter the outside center lane into the path of the first semi-truck. This then caused the semi-truck to jack-knife and catch fire in the direct path of the second semi-truck. The two semis then collided, which caused the second one to leave the road onto the outside shoulder. Police say four individuals were transported to the hospital with injuries due to the crash. Law enforcement authorities in Orange County continue to investigate the details of the crash.
We hope for the full and swift recovery of those with injuries.
