Florida Traffic Collisions
Car accidents can happen for countless reasons. In the state of Florida, they take place over 1,000 times per day. Per year, hundreds of thousands of people sustain injuries in Florida auto collisions while thousands more lose their lives. Sadly, in one recent year, over 3,000 people lost their lives in traffic collisions in the Sunshine State.
When motorcycles become involved in traffic accidents, motorcyclists often suffer serious or even fatal injuries. In one recent year, over 8,000 motorcyclists lost their lives on American roadways. Motorcyclists are some of the most vulnerable on the road at any given time because they have little to no protection against the force of fast-moving vehicles.
Those who sustain injuries in car wrecks usually have their entire lives upended. The types of damages that often result from auto accidents usually include costs associated with lost wages, vehicle repairs, painful injuries, and more. Having to face all of these on your own can be extremely stressful and overwhelming.
More often than not, auto collisions happen due to the actions of negligent drivers. Driver negligence can come in many forms, but the most common include intoxication, fatigue, speeding, and distraction. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Association, over 93% of reported auto accidents are caused by the actions of negligent drivers.
If you have lost someone you love in a fatal traffic accident, you should consider working with a wrongful death lawyer. A wrongful death attorney may be able to help you collect financial compensation for funeral costs and more, especially if you believe your family member’s accident was caused by a negligent driver.
