Florida Motorcycle Accidents
Information provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration shows that over 6,000 motorcycle accident fatalities were reported in the US in 2022. In the Sunshine State alone, more than 600 motorcyclists lost their lives that year. Motorcyclists are especially at risk of being seriously hurt or even dying when they become involved in collisions. Disappointingly, the most common reason motorcycle crashes happen is that drivers fail to yield the right of way. Driver distraction causes over 15% of traffic collisions in the United States, leading to around 400,000 collisions per year.
Statistical information regarding motorcycle accidents in Florida revealed that 97% of motorcycle accidents occur in clear weather conditions. This points to the fact that motorcycles are dangerous to drive, no matter what the weather is like.
