Florida Truck Accidents
Car accidents can happen in an instant—and in Florida, they happen all too often. The Sunshine State is consistently ranked among the most dangerous in the country for serious traffic collisions. Each day, more than 1,000 car crashes occur across Florida, leaving hundreds of thousands injured each year. Tragically, over 3,000 lives are lost annually due to auto accidents on Florida’s roads.
Collisions involving large commercial trucks, especially 18-wheelers, are often even more devastating. These massive vehicles can weigh up to 80,000 pounds—roughly 20 times the weight of a standard passenger car. Even at moderate speeds, the force of impact can cause catastrophic injuries or fatalities. In fact, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that more than 4,000 people died in large truck crashes across the U.S. in 2022 alone.
If you or a loved one has been injured in a truck or car accident, understanding your legal rights is critical. A knowledgeable personal injury attorney can help you navigate the legal system, build a strong claim, and pursue the compensation you deserve. This may include reimbursement for medical expenses, property damage, lost income, and even compensation for pain and emotional suffering.
Most vehicle accidents—upwards of 90%—are caused by driver negligence. Dangerous behaviors such as texting behind the wheel, drunk driving, fatigue, and speeding continue to endanger innocent lives every day. When someone’s carelessness leads to your injury, you shouldn’t have to bear the burden alone.
