Miami, FL (October 25, 2024) – A woman lost her life and others were hurt in a collision that shut down Interstate 95 during the early morning hours of Friday, October 25.
At approximately 2:20 a.m., responders were dispatched to the scene of the incident on Interstate 95 near Northwest 119th Street. A blue Dodge SUV headed north on the interstate lost control and struck a barrier wall, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The Dodge was disabled and then blocked the roadways, causing a black Honda sedan to collide with the Dodge and several of its passengers who were standing in the roadway. A woman lost her life at the scene due to the extent of her injuries, sources said. Two others were transported to Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition. At this time, police in Miami continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
