
Miami, FL (March 22, 2025) – One person lost their life and four others were taken to the hospital after a hit-and-run collision took place Miami on March 22. Police say the wreck happened at the intersection of Northwest 17th Avenue near 54th Street.
Crews found one person trapped inside a crashed vehicle at the scene, another who had been ejected from the vehicle, and several pedestrians who had been hit. Six individuals were involved in the accident, and emergency responders had to extricate the trapped victim. Five victims, two in critical condition, were taken to Ryder Trauma and Jackson Hospital by ambulance. Police in Miami report that one person succumbed to their injuries.
