Florida Traffic Collisions
Car accidents are an unfortunate but frequent occurrence across Florida. From fender-benders to devastating multi-vehicle collisions, many of these crashes result in serious injuries—and too often, lives are lost. In a single recent year, close to 4,000 people died on Florida’s roads.
The aftermath of a serious crash can be life-altering. Victims are often left with painful injuries, mounting medical bills, and the emotional toll of a sudden and traumatic event. Families may find themselves struggling to manage daily responsibilities while navigating a complicated recovery process. Sadly, this is the reality for hundreds of thousands of Floridians each year.
Nationwide, the statistics are staggering: over 6 million motor vehicle accidents happen annually in the U.S., injuring approximately 3 million people and claiming more than 40,000 lives. A majority of these accidents are tied to driver negligence, including distracted driving, speeding, impairment, and fatigue. In Florida, more than 400,000 collisions are reported per year that injure thousands and take the lives of thousands more. At this time, the main cause of Florida traffic accidents is driver distraction.
If you or a loved one has been injured in a crash caused by a reckless or careless driver, you have legal options. Filing a personal injury claim may allow you to recover compensation for your losses—including medical expenses, lost income, vehicle damage, and even emotional suffering.
