Florida Traffic Accidents
Over 11 million semi-trucks travel on the roadways in the United States every year, carrying heavy and sometimes dangerous loads. According to information provided by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, when a passenger vehicle becomes involved in an accident with a semi, the risk of a driver or passenger losing their life is approximately ten times greater than when two passenger vehicles are involved in a collision.
Semi-truck wrecks are some of the most dangerous types of accidents in the United States. These massive trucks can be 20 to 30 times heavier than the average passenger vehicle. When a crash happens between a small passenger car and a tractor-trailer, the results can be devastating, particularly for those in the smaller vehicle. Serious injuries can leave you in the hospital for a long time, requiring extensive and often invasive medical procedures to recover fully.
Being involved in a traffic accident is overwhelming. On top of dealing with the physical and emotional trauma, you may also be facing financial difficulties as medical bills and other expenses related to the accident start piling up. Fortunately, you may be entitled to economic compensation to help cover these costs and damages.
