
Fort Myers, FL (March 19, 2025) – Six people were sent to the hospital following a fatal collision in Fort Myers. Information provided by the Florida Highway Patrol shows that the incident occurred at the intersection of Winkler Road and Sunset Vista Drive. A woman headed south on Winkler Road, just south of Avery Street, crossed the center line into the northbound lane, attempting to pass another vehicle just before 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18. While doing so, she struck another vehicle head-on. The two collided, and the woman’s vehicle flipped into a ditch. She lost her life at the crash scene. Six individuals, including four children, were sent to the hospital after the collision. They were identified as a 37-year-old woman, a 37-year-old man, a 17-year-old female, a 14-year-old boy, a 10-year-old boy, and a 3-year-old girl. Police in Fort Myers continue to investigate.
