Boca Raton, FL (November 8, 2024) – A fatal traffic collision occurred in Boca Raton on Friday, November 7. Just before 6:00 a.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the crash site on Interstate 95.
According to reports, the incident occurred near mile marker 50 just north of Yamato Road. Several northbound lanes were closed for hours on Friday and traffic was backed up for miles. Sources say a white SUV and a blue pickup truck collided for reasons still being investigated. Four vehicles were involved including a 2003 GMC Yukon operated by a 60-year-old man from Pompano Beach, a 2016 Ford Transit operated by a 63-year-old man from Fort Lauderdale, a 2024 KIA Niro EV driven by a man age 47 from North Lauderdale, and a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500. A West Palm Beach man, age 24, had exited the Dodge Ram he was driving and was struck by a vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the scene just before 6:00 a.m. Police in Boca Raton continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
