Alva, FL (November 20, 2024) – Two men from Southwest Florida were transported to the hospital with serious injuries following a rollover accident on Palm Beach Boulevard in Alva. Responders were dispatched to the scene at around 7:35 a.m. Police say a man from Alva, age 28, was headed north on Cook Lane before turning east onto SR-80. Simultaneously, a Lehigh Acres man, age 25, was headed east on SR-80, approaching Cook Lane. The vehicles then collided, causing one of the vehicles to roll over. The man from Alva was critically injured and airlifted to the hospital by Med-Flight, Florida Highway Patrol reports. The Lehigh Acres man also sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital. Traffic in the east and westbound lanes was backed up for some time while crews worked in the area, and police continued to investigate the details of the incident.
