
Alachua Co., FL (March 11, 2025) – A man lost his life and five others were hurt, including children, in a single-vehicle collision on an interstate in Alachua County. Responders were sent to the scene of the crash on Interstate 75 near State Route 121 at approximately 5:40 p.m. on March 10.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene along with paramedics who found an SUV that had crashed. Six people were present in the vehicle at the time of the wreck, including a 33-year-old driver who lost his life at the scene. The other passengers were identified as a 30-year-old woman and four girls, ages 5, 6, 8, and 13, all of whom were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Police in Alachua County are working to determine the cause of the crash.
